Word Heard at ABS
This is written as final preparations are being made for our fall semester kickoff of The Hedge. The students have high expectations of themselves and for God to use this ministry to impact lives around campus and Northwest Arkansas. Housing at the ministry is getting settled as all of our residences are being prepped for a year of occupancy. Warren is running to keep projects moving forward to completion so that once classes begin, we are ready to focus on the real work of ministry.
Church camp was an exciting blessing as we saw God work to change lives. Brad and Warren were thrilled to see the large number of high school seniors and young adults in class during both weeks of camp. Warren was especially impressed and desirous to follow up with these young people to encourage them in their faith and Christian growth. Stay tuned as The Hedge’s edge may extend itself to minister to those too far to regularly come to Fayetteville on a Tuesday night.
Tuesdays at 7pm in the ABS House will still be the public worship night that we call The Hedge. You are welcome to join us for the night to break bread with us, lift voice with us in singing praise, and listen as God speaks through His Word as taught by a fellow believer. Brad will prepare an extra portion for you, if you let him know that you are bring a carload or a vanload.
Speaking of, we will continue to feed students on Tuesday nights, both physically as well as spiritually. If you or your church group would like to participate one Tuesday by bringing food or sponsoring a meal, we would appreciate that as well. Again, contact Brad to pick a Tuesday, then join us that evening for fellowship and worship – ABS style.
If Tuesdays are not an option, you could always come see us on Saturdays. One of our biggest fundraisers will be back in full swing this fall as we park cars for Razorback football games. Even if you just want to tailgate amidst the action but don’t have tickets, we can have space for you. Ask Warren for details.
Thanks for the time to hear what is anticipated for the fall. Stay tuned to know how the plans of students and teachers come together and what God does in spite of our foolishness. To God be the glory. Thank you for the prayers, support, and blessings. We cannot do this ministry without these. Without Christ, we are nothing. God bless ya.
Warren and Brad.
