Hello New Students

Hello New Students, and welcome to the University of Arkansas and the redesigned ABS website! My name is Warren and I am the ABS Director. Don’t let the title alarm you, I am just another one of the many people whose purpose is to serve you and help you reach your maximum potential, in your field of study, personally, and corporately. You see, I found God’s purpose for my life, and I would like an opportunity to help you find yours.

You are entering a new world, it’s an exciting world and your life will never be the same. In fact your world has just gotten a whole lot bigger! You will meet students from across this country and around the world. Your professors may be renowned scholars. The decisions you make now will affect rest of your life. That fact may cause you to feel overwhelmed and alone. I would guess that at least once during your stay you will throw up your hands in frustration and scream, “What am I doing here?”

I would like to think that ABS is a place where you can connect, intellectually and spiritually. I know this. You will find others who have felt the same way, and you can find help for your journey. None of us are perfect, but we try hard!

We’re not the largest fellowship you could join, but we think of our students as family. When I meet students who ask, “What’s ABS?” after I explain who we are, what we are about, and where we are located, many have exclaimed, “Oh, that’s the house!” Our goal is to make the ABS House a home away from home for you. I look forward to having that opportunity.

Warren

I posted a picture of “the house” aka The Hedge on our fb page, just in case you wonder which it is. Keep watching though. “The house” isn’t through changing its appearance.

The Hedge at the ABS House truly is a home away from home. I have made life long friends and met many brothers and sisters in Christ during my college experience. Thanks guys for all the support.
